Chandrababu Naidu Honors NTR at Mahanadu, Calls Him Pillar of Telugu Pride

The second day of the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Mahanadu began with grandeur, coinciding with the birth anniversary of party founder and legendary leader Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, along with senior party leaders, paid floral tributes to NTR’s statue at the venue. Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu described NTR as the pride and spirit of the Telugu people, calling him a “yuga purushudu” (epoch-making personality). He said NTR’s birth anniversary is a celebration for all Telugu people and highlighted the significant discussions held on the first day of the Mahanadu, focusing on strengthening the party and serving the public effectively.

Chandrababu praised NTR’s unparalleled journey, from a humble government employee to a towering figure in Telugu cinema and politics. He called NTR a rare personality who ruled both the film and political arenas with unmatched impact. Recalling his integrity, discipline, and determination, Chandrababu noted that NTR’s legacy, including the symbolic yellow flag of the party, will remain eternal. He stated that within just nine months of founding TDP, NTR became the Chief Minister- a feat unmatched in political history. Emphasizing the party’s renewed commitment post-2024 election victory, Chandrababu reaffirmed efforts to build a society free of poverty and full of opportunity for all.
