Gaddar Film Awards Announced: Allu Arjun Best Actor, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Best Film
After a 14-year hiatus, the prestigious Gaddar Film Awards were announced by the Telangana state government. At a press conference chaired by jury head Jayasudha and Telangana State FDC Chairman Dil Raju, the winners were revealed from among 1,248 nominations. The awards considered films censored between June 2014 and December 2023, recognizing works in Telugu and Urdu across 11 categories and presenting 21 individual and jury special awards.
Top honors went to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which was named Best Feature Film of 2024, with ‘Pottel’ and ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ securing second and third places respectively. Allu Arjun won Best Actor for ‘Pushpa 2’, while Nivetha Thomas was named Best Actress for ‘35 – Idi Chinna Katha Kaadu’. Director Nag Ashwin took home the Best Director award for ‘Kalki’. Other notable winners included SJ Suryah, Saranya Pradeep, Sid Sriram, and music director Bheems. The ceremony also featured special awards named after legendary figures like NTR, B.N. Reddy, and Raghupathi Venkaiah.
