Big Set back for Kannappa Movie Team as Data is Stolen
In a serious breach of digital security, Hyderabad’s Film Nagar police have registered a case after a hard drive containing crucial VFX data from the upcoming film Kannappa was allegedly stolen. The complaint, filed by executive producer Reddy Vijay Kumar of 24 Frames Factory, states that an office boy named Raghu fled with the drive, which holds key visual effects sequences essential to the film’s production. Authorities are actively investigating the incident to recover the data and protect the film’s sensitive content.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and featuring Vishnu Manchu in the lead, Kannappa is a major fantasy project with cameos from stars like Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. This is not the first security setback for the team—last year, the makers also dealt with a leak of Prabhas’s character look. With the film’s release already delayed, this latest incident has raised fresh concerns about potential setbacks in post-production.
