Turkish firm Celebi Airport Services India Ltd has filed a legal petition against the Indian government’s decision to revoke its security clearance, which led to the termination of its contracts at Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports. The company argues the move is unjustified and puts nearly 3,800 jobs at risk.
Following the revocation, airports have directed Çelebi to hand over all ground handling operations, with staff and equipment being transferred to interim operator IndoThai. Celebi claims it is unfairly targeted despite being managed by non-Turkish entities. The case is expected to be heard soon in the Delhi High Court.
