DRDO Developing Humanoid Robot for Military Missions

DRDO scientists are developing a humanoid robot to support military operations and reduce troop exposure in high-risk zones. Under development at the R&DE (Engineers) lab in Pune, the robot will carry out complex tasks via direct human commands. Equipped with advanced sensors, actuators, and control systems, it will navigate tough terrains, handle hazardous materials, and operate autonomously with features like SLAM and real-time map generation. The project is expected to be completed by 2027.
