Telugu student arrested in US
Kishan Kumar Singh, a 21-year-old Indian student in the US, was arrested by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina for attempting to scam a 78-year-old woman. Singh allegedly impersonated a federal agent, convincing the woman to withdraw a large sum of money under the pretext that her bank accounts were linked to criminal activities. Authorities intervened when Singh arrived at the victim’s home to collect the money. Investigations revealed Singh had been in the US on a student visa since 2024. The arrest could result in serious legal consequences, including visa revocation and deportation.
