Even a year after the TDP alliance came to power in Andhra Pradesh, former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s portraits continue to be displayed prominently in some Zilla Parishad offices, particularly in Anantapur district. TDP MLAs expressed shock and anger upon witnessing Jagan’s photos placed at the center while current CM Chandrababu Naidu’s images were sidelined. Officials have since been ordered to replace the portraits. The incident is being seen not only as administrative negligence but also as a sign of Jagan’s lingering influence among the public.
