Kamal Haasan Set for Rajya Sabha as DMK Allots Seat to MNM

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan is set to enter the Rajya Sabha, with the DMK allotting one seat to his party, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), for the upcoming biennial elections. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin announced the party’s candidates on May 28, including P. Wilson, S.R. Sivalingam, and poet Salma. The move fulfills an earlier agreement between DMK and MNM, marking a significant political milestone for Haasan. The Rajya Sabha elections are scheduled for June 19.
