Leopard Alert in Tirumala! TTD Announces Emergency Safety Drive

Amid rising fear over leopard sightings near Tirumala’s Alipiri steps and ghat roads, TTD has launched a high-alert special safety drive. In a review led by EO Shyamala Rao, key decisions were taken including deploying extra staff, installing camera traps, bio-fencing, and providing pepper sprays. Devotees are urged to travel in groups, and children under 12 are temporarily restricted from using the walkway. TTD and Forest Department will conduct joint reviews to enhance security for pilgrims.
