Massive Irregularities in TTD Under Jagan Govt, Alleges BJP Leader Bhanu Prakash Reddy
BJP leader and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy has alleged large-scale irregularities during the previous YSRCP government’s tenure. Speaking in Tirupati on Monday, he accused the former TTD administration of turning the temple trust into a revenue machine, severely compromising the sanctity and finances of the institution.
He claimed that offerings made by devotees at the Tulabharam counter were misappropriated, with only half being officially recorded and the rest allegedly stolen. Reddy revealed that he submitted evidence to the vigilance SP, urging an investigation into the alleged thefts from 2019 to 2024, including the infamous Parakamani cash counting theft and adulterated ghee incidents. He also demanded accountability from past vigilance officials and senior administrators, warning that even temple jewelry might have been compromised. Reddy confirmed he will raise these issues in the upcoming TTD board meeting on Tuesday.
