Shocking : Indian Parents Abandon Kids at US Border for Green Cards!

A disturbing trend has emerged at the US-Mexico border, where an increasing number of Indian families—particularly from Gujarat—are allegedly abandoning their minor children in hopes of gaining green cards. According to reports, at least 77 unaccompanied Indian minors were apprehended by US border officials between October 2024 and February 2025.

This practice, which has gained traction in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic, involves parents entering the US illegally and later sending their children across the border alone. In one alarming case, a couple from Mehsana reportedly had their toddler smuggled into the US and abandoned near the Texas border with only a note containing contact information.

The trend has drawn sharp criticism and concern, especially amid reports that the Trump administration is planning a tougher crackdown on unaccompanied minors, including possible deportation and prosecution. Authorities warn that such actions put vulnerable children at extreme risk.
