Single’ Trailer Sparks Controversy; Sri Vishnu Apologizes to Manchu Family

A controversy has erupted in Tollywood over the trailer of the upcoming film Single, starring Sri Vishnu. A particular scene in the trailer where the actor refers to someone as “Shivayya” and delivers the dialogue “Manchu kurisipoyindi” has drawn criticism from the team of the upcoming film Kannappa and supporters of the Manchu family.

The issue arose as the phrase “Manchu kurisipoyindi” was perceived by some as a veiled dig at veteran actor Mohan Babu’s family, given their surname “Manchu.” Members of the Manchu family and their fans expressed anger, claiming the dialogue was disrespectful and targeted.

In response to the backlash, Sri Vishnu issued a public apology to the Manchu family, clarifying that there was no intention to offend and that the dialogue was not meant as a personal reference.
